Managed through the Riverbend Industries portfolio, Williams designs, markets, and manufactures quality heating, ventilation, and air conditioning products for residential and business applications. Beginning with gas furnaces in the early, 1900s, Williams has grown to lead the gravity wall furnace market. The company acquired Hydro-Aire/LANCO, a major manufacturer of fan coils and air handlers, in 1986. As a result, Williams now offers more fan coil sizes and configurations than any other HVAC company in all of the United States; the product line was expanded in 1996 to include room heaters.

 

Position Summary

The CAD Technician works with the mechanical engineers, other engineers, technicians, and manufacturing to provide engineering documents for finished products, packaging, assemblies, components, and fixtures.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead by example with a Safety First mindset in every task
  • Provide design and drafting support for mechanical and electrical design layout for new and revised products utilizing a variety of design software packages
  • Create detailed drawings from sketches, outside design layouts
  • Create component specifications as required
  • Respond to daily requests for drawings/diagrams, documents, presentations, and reports
  • Conduct mechanical inspections as needed using applicable tools, machines, visual, etc.
  • ERP (JDE) Part number and data entry
  • Must perform all work in accordance with all safety procedures
  • Regular attendance is essential
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required

 


 

Requirements

 

Education, Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum
  • 2- year associate degree or successful trade school completion in CAD or related designing software
  • 3+ years of experience in CAD design for a manufacturing facility
  • Preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in SolidWorks or AutoCAD
