
Furnace Account Manager at Williams (Sales/Customer Service)
The Furnace Key Account Manager is responsible for managing and expanding relationships with the company’s most strategic HVAC-related clients. This role requires a deep understanding of industrial HVAC systems, customer operations, and the ability to deliver tailored solutions that drive long-term value. The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted advisor, ensuring client satisfaction while identifying opportunities for growth.
- Lead by example with a Safety-First mindset in every task
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key HVAC industry clients with a focus on large retail accounts
- Serve as the primary point of contact for strategic accounts, ensuring timely and successful delivery of solutions
- Understand client needs and technical requirements related to industrial HVAC systems
- Collaborate with engineering, customer service, finance and product teams to deliver appropriate solutions
- Prepare and present proposals, negotiate contracts, and close agreements to maximize profitable revenue
- Monitor account performance, track KPIs, and provide regular updates to internal stakeholders
- Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and expanding service offerings
- Resolve client issues with urgency and professionalism, escalating when necessary
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies in HVAC systems
- Collaborate with other Riverbend Industries HVAC organizations to cross sell products and oversee common customers
Education, Experience & Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, Business, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in key account management, preferably in the industrial furnace or thermal processing industry
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems and applications
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to travel up to 50% for client meetings and site visits.
